How it works
Smart packing, real-time rates
At checkout, the plugin calls the Teamdock packer microservice to figure out the optimal pallet layout โ then returns the correct shipping cost instantly.
Products are measured
Each item in the cart has dimensions (LรWรH) and weight set in WooCommerce. The plugin reads these automatically.
Packer optimises the load
The Teamdock packer microservice runs a 3D bin-packing algorithm across all enabled pallet types and finds the cheapest configuration.
Rate shown at checkout
The calculated shipping cost is returned to WooCommerce in milliseconds and displayed to the customer on the checkout page.
Automatic cost optimisation
The packer finds the minimum number of pallets needed โ reducing your shipping costs and preventing under-quoting on large orders.
Per-zone configuration
Add one shipping method instance per WooCommerce shipping zone. Set different base fees and per-pallet rates for domestic vs. international shipments.
Custom pallet types
Beyond Euro, Half and Block โ define your own pallet dimensions and weight limits. Useful for specialist carriers or non-standard warehouse setups.
Fallback for missing dimensions
Products without dimensions set are assumed to be 10ร10ร10 cm โ so checkout never breaks even if your catalogue is incomplete.
Pre-installed on every workspace
No zip file to upload. When Teamdock provisions your WooCommerce store the plugin is already active โ just add it to your shipping zones.
Maintained by Teamdock
Updates ship automatically with every Teamdock release. No separate plugin store, no manual upgrades, no licence keys to manage.
